Getting Started in Athletics

A Step-by-Step Guide to Participating in Athletics

Very Important information

The following must be completed TWO WEEKS BEFORE the first day of practice/tryouts:

1.   ALL ATHLETES ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE ON-LINE ATHLETIC REGISTRATION FOR EACH SPORT PLAYED

Register your family below. Use Google Chrome as your Internet Browser when accessing this website.

Reminder:  All physicals must be submitted on these forms.  This is mandated by MSHSAA. To ensure that your student athlete is ready to participate the first day of tryouts, please be sure to get all of these items done very early to avoid any delay. There will be e-mails sent out to all parents & students for each season of sports reminding everyone of what needs to be done. Please be on the look out for these e-mails about two months prior to the beginning of each season.

Quick Guide for New Users

Please click "Register Now" to either register for the first time or if you are a Returning User.

Quick Guide for Returning Users

Use the username and password your created during your first family registration. Once logged in, you may click on the "Register" dropdown and register an existing student or add a new student to your family account. Remember to add each sport for each season they will be playing sports. Each student should register for a sport that they might be trying out for/playing in that season. The student must come to the Activities Office for a Final Clearance for each sport they are trying out/playing in that season. The Final Clearance MUST be obtained by the cut off date for each season.

The form will auto populate the answers based from your previously submitted registration. Please review and update the answers such as insurance, medication, diagnoses, emergency contacts, phone numbers, etc. You may log in at any time to your family account if you need a copy of your student's physical packet.

2. GET A PHYSICAL EXAM

This is the link to the Physical Examination & History forms you need to take with you to the doctor MSHSAA Physical Exam & History Form

If a student intends to play sports for the Timberland Wolves, they must have a valid physical on file in the Activities Office prior to participation. Your Physical Examination & History Forms may be uploaded to your family athletic registration account. If you do not have a scanner available to upload a PDF of these forms, please bring the forms to the Activities Office, in person, so that we can upload them to your student's registration account. Please keep a copy for yourself of your student's physical packet.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT FAXES FROM THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE OF YOUR MSHSAA PHYSICAL PACKET. YOU MUST BRING YOUR MSHSAA PHYSICAL PACKET, IN PERSON, TO THE ACTIVITIES OFFICE. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR MSHSAA PHYSICAL PACKET IN THE MAIN OFFICE
Reminder: A valid physical is dated after Feb. 1, 2018 (for the 2018/2019 school year) and must be completely filled out and signed by a doctor. If any information or signatures are missing, the packet will be returned for you to complete. Please check your MSHSAA physical packet BEFORE turning it in or uploading it to make sure it is complete. Incomplete paperwork will delay the ability to receive final clearance before the cut off date.

All forms must be completed here on-line & your Physical Examination & History Forms uploaded (or brought to the Activities Office). This must be completed TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE START OF EACH SPORTS SEASON & NO LATER THAN THE CUT OFF DATE FOR FINAL CLEARANCE FOR THAT SEASON.

3.  COMPLETE THE IMPACT TEST
A student must be ImPact Tested every two years (this means, Freshmen, Juniors or students new to Timberland or new to athletics). There will be several dates throughout the year for each season, please click here for the most current list of dates.

4.  PAY ANY OUTSTANDING FINES PRIOR TO THE FIRST DAY OF PRACTICES/TRYOUTS

5.  GO TO THE ACTIVITIES OFFICE TO GET YOUR FINAL CLEARANCE
YOU ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE YOUR FAMILY ATHLETIC REGISTRATION ON-LINE TO RECEIVE YOUR FINAL CLEARANCE. Once you complete the on-line Family Athletic registration, uploaded the Physical Examination & History Forms (or brought the forms to the Activities Office) and have taken the ImPact test, the student needs to stop by the Activities office to get their final clearance. The system DOES NOT automatically generate the final clearance.  Students must come to the Activities Office to get their final clearance by the cut off date. Final Clearance must be obtained from the Activities Office before the cut off date. Final Clearances will NOT be issued after the cut off dates or on the first day of tryouts/practices. Students must give the final clearance to their coach in order to participate. If the student does not have a final clearance to give the coach the first day of tryouts/practices, they may NOT participate.

6.  PICK A SPORT/ACTIVITY
Once you have completed the on-line Activities registration & obtained the final clearance, decide what sport/activity you wish to try out for.  For a list of available sports by season, click on the links below.
